Care Guide:

Sheepskin is a natural product and should therefore be treated with care.

The natural lanolin in the sheepskin will keep the wool soft.  Sheepskin has self-cleaning properties, is naturally anti-bacterial and repels water – this means it does not need to be washed frequently.

Your FLATOUT rug does NOT need to be washed before use.

If you must wash your bear, please be sure to follow the washing instructions below:

1) Dissolve a small amount of sheepskin detergent* or woolwash (i.e. non-alkaline mild liquid detergent wool wash) in a bucket of cool water (never use hot water) and gently handwash

2) Dry on a flat surface in the sun

You may also consider cold spot washing any marks before washing entirely as above by using a damp cloth to gently rub followed by the same with a dry cloth – and then place outside in a sunny spot for drying.
